Five Markets on One Account

Pivex accounts give you access to five markets: forex, commodities, indices, crypto and stocks. Every instrument is traded as a CFD on Match-Trader, the web-based platform Pivex uses, with TradingView charts built in. The Markets list in the platform shows the symbols available right now, and the Market Hours panel shows when each one trades.

That gives you room to trade what you understand best. A trader who follows central banks may stay with currency pairs, while someone who reads company results may prefer stocks or indices. The Challenge rules are the same in every market.

The Five Markets in Brief

Forex

Currency pairs trade 24 hours a day, five days a week, and forex is the largest financial market in the world. Pivex offers major pairs such as EUR/USD, minor pairs such as GBP/JPY and exotic pairs such as USD/TRY, with leverage of 1:30.

Commodities

Gold (XAU/USD), silver (XAG/USD), WTI and Brent crude react to interest rates, the US dollar, supply news and global stress. Leverage is 1:10.

Indices

NAS100, SPX500 and UK100 let you trade the direction of a whole stock market in a single position. Index CFDs follow the sessions of their home markets, with leverage of 1:5.

Crypto

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin, Dogecoin and more trade seven days a week. You need no wallet and no exchange account, and leverage is 1:1.

Stocks

CFDs on large listed companies such as Apple, Tesla, Meta and Google follow exchange hours from Monday to Friday. Leverage is 1:1, and you trade the share price without owning the shares.

How CFDs Work on a Simulated Account

A CFD, or contract for difference, settles the change in an instrument's price between the moment you open a position and the moment you close it. You never take delivery of the asset: no barrels of oil, no coins in a wallet, no shares in your name. Your result is the price difference multiplied by your position size.

Because a CFD tracks price rather than ownership, you can go long if you expect a market to rise or short if you expect it to fall. The same order ticket works for a currency pair, an index or a stock.

At Pivex these CFDs run on a simulated account that uses real-time market data, so prices move as they do in the live market while your own money is never placed in it. Pivex offers CFDs only and does not offer exchange-traded futures, options or copy trading.

Leverage by Market

Leverage decides how large a position you can open compared with the balance of your account. At Pivex it is set per market, and it is lower in markets whose prices usually swing more.

IndicesNAS100, SPX500, UK1001:5
CryptoBTC/USD, ETH/USD, XRP, LTC, DOGE1:1
StocksAAPL, TSLA, META, GOOGL1:1

Leverage sets the ceiling on position size, not what you can afford to lose. On a $10K account, 1:30 margin would allow roughly $300,000 of forex exposure, yet the daily loss limit is still $400. Size each position from your stop loss and the loss limits, and treat leverage as an upper bound.

When Each Market Trades

Each market keeps its own clock. That affects when you can trade and how prices behave at the open.

Forex
24 hours a day, five days a week, from Sunday 21:00 UTC to Friday 21:00 UTC
Crypto
Seven days a week, weekends included
Indices
The sessions of each index's home market
Stocks
Exchange hours, Monday to Friday
Commodities
The current schedule is shown in the Market Hours panel

Schedules for indices, stocks and commodities can shift with daylight saving and holidays, so check the Market Hours panel for current times. A market that closes overnight can reopen at a different price from where it stopped, which matters if you hold positions through a close.

Swaps and Spreads

Two costs come with every CFD market. The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price; it varies by instrument and the platform shows it on every symbol. Spreads are usually tightest when a market is busiest and can widen around major news and in quiet hours.

  • Holding trades overnight and over the weekend is allowed on Pivex accounts.
  • A swap, or overnight financing, applies when a position is held past the daily rollover around 21:00 UTC.
  • On Match-Trader, a triple swap applies on Wednesdays.
  • Pivex does not offer swap-free accounts.
  • Swap rates are shown in each instrument's details in the platform.

The Same Rules in Every Market

The Challenge objectives do not change with the market you trade. The dashboard tracks each one as you go.

  • Profit target of 10% of the starting balance, in one phase with no time limit
  • Daily loss limit of 4%, renewed every trading day at 00:00 UTC
  • Maximum loss of 6% of the starting balance, static as the account grows
  • At least 5 trading days with at least one trade
  • Your largest trading day stays under 50% of total profit

How to Choose Where to Start

  1. 1Match the market to your hoursIf you are free while New York is open, US indices and stocks fit your day. Crypto suits traders with time at weekends.
  2. 2Start with what you already followA trader who reads central bank statements has a head start in forex, and one who follows company results has one in stocks.
  3. 3Check costs before you commitLook at the spread and swap rates of the instruments you plan to trade, especially for multi-day holds.
  4. 4Size to the loss limitsWork out the dollar value of the 4% daily and 6% maximum loss limits, then choose sizes that leave room for a run of losing trades.
  5. 5Review the basicsPivex Academy, included with every account, covers the basics in 18 short lessons.

Account sizes run from $10K to $100K. Every size follows the same rules.
